Aurora over the town @ Bromsgatan, Kiruna

The aurora was so bright that I could see it over the street lights in the town. It was even bright enough for the camera to pick up quite nicely.

We had a 900 gigawatt solar storm one night. The rest speaks for itself

a 2-metre tripod just isn’t enough in this snow…
D5100 is not claimed to be “weatherproof” but it has survived well so far…
